HOW DO I USE IT?
Just place the special non-stick, silicone insert in your pan, pour batter in the rings, brown, then lift and flip. You’ll have a stack of evenly-cooked, ready-to-serve flapjacks — no mess, and no spatula needed!
Prior to each use, place the mold on or inside the pan using Medium-High heat, bottom side down. For 1 minute, apply pressure with a spatula to ensure the product is in full contact with pan surface during this 1-minute curing process. Repeat on opposite side.
Make sure you use this on a flat surface, any slightly off surface will result in leaks. Make sure you put the flanged part of the circles facing up and be sure to spray a little pam or something to make everything slip off that mch easier. Cook slow and once a single side is done you can just lift this and flip each over individually
My 11 year old loves to cook... I often hear him getting upset when making pancakes that they are hard to flip or are shaped funny. I purchased this for him in hopes that he would have a better experience making pancakes and start teaching him to make eggs. Anything I can do to make cooking for him fun I will do. This tool has been great for him. Its very easy to use and works great but it has to be very flat or the mix will leak out. We have found that it works best on our electric griddle so that's what we have been using instead of a skillet on the stove. My son loves the perfect kid size pancakes and how easy it is to make them.
So far we love this pancake mold! I followed the tips to warm both sides so that it fits the pan better, and I made sure to use a thicker batter rather than a traditional thin batter (just don't add as much milk!) I greased the mold on both sides, as well as the pan. I used a cookie scoop to evenly distribute the batter and lightly squished it into the rings to ensure it coated the entire mold; don't put too much into the mold or else your pancakes will be super thick! My pancakes are gluten & dairy - free, had no issues with sticking, and my kids ate them up!
