Love it. However, it was on my first one and I cut it a little sideways, so just make sure you keep the center straight. Also, the top part where the buttons are to remove the handle and slide the pineapple off is difficult and I actually cut my finger in the attempt.

Of all the Kitchen Gadgets I didn't know I needed, this pineapple slicers/de-corer is one of my favorites. Who knew that it would work that effectively? To use, simply cut off the top of the pineapple, screw the tool in like a wine bottle opener, then pull your pineapple reward out. The fruit was perfectly spiralized around the tool, and with a single slice down the spirals, you'll end up with perfect rings of pineapple to eat. The tool twisted easily into the pineapple without catching, was fairly easy to pull out, and washed well. One thing to note - unlike cutting a pineapple with a knife, there will be some pineapple left inside if you buy a larger pineapple. The grocery store pineapples I bought were perfectly sized for the tool, however some of the larger Costco sized pineapples left lots of pineapple inside the shell. Its not hard to start eyeballing the size of pineapple you'll need to buy to use this tool without wasting lots of edible pineapple. Overall, for a single purpose tool, it works much more effectively and efficiently than cutting with a knife and board. It's a purchase I don't regret making!
